Welcome to the inaugural post of this boring ass journal that nobody will ever read. I only set it up so Radiophlegm would get off my back and stop bugging me.
Tonight I'll be failing a test for a class I got an A in 5 years ago... it's funny how much I've forgotten. I can't even remember how to linearize about a nominal operation point! After that I'll be heading to a Tetris tournament and concert by my friends in 8bit Weapon.
Yes, you read that correctly: Tetris tournament.
This might need some explanation. You see, everybody in this world has something they do better than almost anyone else. Some people can play basketball, some can work the stock market, some are good at manipulating people in business, some are good at manipulating people to get them in bed... my one and only skill is playing Tetris. I'm slightly above average in everything I do, but holy fuck can I play Tetris. And before you think I'm getting down on myself for sucking at sports or neglecting to say I'm great with spacial puzzles, let me quash that. I'm pretty good at most sports and have tried any and all you can think of (basketball and tennis are not my forté), and I totally suck at things like rubic's cubes and those bent nail puzzles. Tetris, though, is like being in a different zone where my hands and fingers and even the rest of the world don't exist. The screen becomes the whole of my vision and my mind can control the objects on the screen at blinding speeds. I've become so specially adapted to this mode of reality that I can discern tiny changes like my controller wearing out or that the specific version of the game I'm playing doesn't have the right width or starting orientations for the pieces. Are there better players than me? Absolutely there are... roughly 62 of them, and I even know some of their names. Have I ever met any of those who can come close to matching me? Not yet.
So, there you go. Let me know if you want me to brag about anything else... I know how turned on girls get by sweet Tetris, nunchaku and bowhunting skills.
